What is the rate for a playful pet stop?

Answer: The standard pet-sitting rate is $30.00 for Redmond, OR. This includes up to 30 minutes of professional pet-sitting services in your home.

Do you provide services outside Redmond? What are the
rates?

Answer: Yes, The Playful Pet-Sitter can accommodate services to outlying areas. The rate increases with the distance so an individualized service rate is confirmed to the client before the initial consultation. You’ll know exactly what your rate will be per pet stop before we meet!

Do you offer overnight pet care?

Answer:
The Playful Pet-Sitter LLC., does not provide overnight pet care.

Who will be taking care of my pet when I’m away?

Answer: Michelle Sheehan is your primary Playful Pet-Sitter. In the event of inclement weather or client emergency, Patrick Sheehan (Michelle’s spouse) will be your only additional pet-sitter. The Playful Pet-Sitter does not utilize employees or independent contractors for any pet-sitting services. Additionally, no guests, friends or children will ever accompany Michelle or Patrick while performing animal care for your pets.

Do you offer every other day pet stops?

Answer: No. In accordance with our insurance policy, care is provided every day after the client departs until the day before the client returns. We are unable to skip service days in order to maintain the highest standard of quality pet-sitting service.

What does the each pet stop rate include?

Answer: Our rate includes up to 30 minutes per single pet stop to provide pet companionship, dog-walking, playtime, feeding, watering, administering medication, litter scooping, mail & newspaper retrieval, garbage & recycling, daily status updates and photos of your pets.

How many pets does the standard rate include?

Answer: The general rate includes up to two (2) pets each visit. Additional rates may apply to larger pet households.

What medications can you administer to my pets?

Answer: The Playful Pet-Sitter is able to administer all oral medications, eye drops, inhalers, topical creams and insulin injections for cats and dogs.

Are there any medications you do not administer?

Answer: Yes, The Playful Pet-Sitter is unable to administer IV fluids, glucose testing or any medically advanced procedure for cats, dogs or other animals.

Are you taking new midday dog walking clients?

Answer:
No. The Playful Pet-Sitter is not taking new stand alone dog-walking clients at this time.

What are your service hours?

Answer: The Playful Pet-Sitter’s normal operating hours are from 6AM to 8PM, including all weekends and holidays.

Do you charge extra for holidays, weekends or high travel dates?

Answer: No. The only additional cost to our service is included for outlying service areas, and that rate is disclosed to the client prior to the initial consultation.

What exactly is a pet stop?

Answer: A pet stop is the home visit to the client’s residence to serve a pet-sitting or dog-walking account during the hours of 6AM to 8PM. During each pet stop your playful pet-sitter will perform all of the required and requested duties to properly care for your pet in their own home environment. We will be playful and professional!

Do you meet the pets before service begins?

Answer: Yes, The Playful Pet-Sitter always schedules an initial client interview to determine what the exact needs of the account will be. During the meeting we will request veterinary information, go over any pet health issues, and secure several contact numbers in case we need to reach you. This is the appropriate time for the client to discuss pet medications or special diet instructions that need to be carried out during the playful pet stop. We’ll also provide you our professional references, and can go over our bond and liability insurance if you have questions. Meeting before service begins is a great opportunity for the client to meet the playful pet-sitter and see if home-based pet care is right for them and their special pet.

Will I be able to personalize the care for my pet?

Answer: Absolutely! This is the best defining feature of The Playful Pet-Sitter. We follow your instructions exactly to guarantee your peace of mind while away. If your pet needs anything special at all, simply let us know and we’ll be sure to carry it out. Our work hours are broad and convenient so your pet will be able to go outside or have someone come home just as if you were there, and with minimal disturbance to their routine!
