There are many reasons but the most important are their local thrift store and low cost spay & neuter clinic. The Tuxes & Tails Annual Fundraiser is also a great opportunity for people to contribute their skills, talents and generosity to help local pets in need. Overall, a fantastic shelter and lovely facility.

The Rawley Project

The Rawley Project offers a three pronged range of services to the Central Oregon Community: Low cost spay and neuter program, pet adoption and a veterinary outreach program in Mezcala and San Pedro Mexico.  They’ve also instilled lost pet microchip at three locations: La Pine Farm and Pet Supply, FIX Bend, and Creatures Pet Shop in Madras.

The Rawley Project Mission Statement:

The Rawley Project is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit animal protection and welfare organization that was created to help dogs that may be suffering from a life of cruelty, neglect and/or abandonment. We work most often locally, but also globally to find homes and provide care for dogs. We serve our community by providing affordable care to reduce the overpopulation of dogs and cats through our sterilization and wellness program, FIXbend and our global effort El Proyecto Pancho. We strive to be transparent, collaborative, inclusive and progressive. Together, we can make a difference.
